I do representational oil paintings of the landscapes of the West from San Diego to the Grand Canyon to Wyoming. I have a special love of the National Parks of the West including the Grand Canyon, Yosemite and Yellowstone and Grand Teton Parks. I also do a number of paintings of the Pacific coast and, of course, the Lake Tahoe area."

William Cooper and JoAnn Lippert are a husband and wife team from Nevada. They have traveled the world combining their passion for adventure travel and photography. Their passion for mountain climbing, trekking and white water rafting has taken them to all corners of the earth including The Kingdom of Mustang, India, Bhutan, Nepal, China, Mongolia, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, Papua New Guinea, Laos, and countries in South America, Africa and Europe. They have lived with stone-age people in Irian Jaya, Indonesia.

"Influenced by the beauty of Lake Tahoe, I find it relaxing and nurturing to paint in watercolor and oils. Growing up in Alabama, I was fortunate to spend much of my summers on the Gulf Coast. I enjoyed the serenity of the white beaches and the Gulf of Mexico, thus the attraction to seascapes, water, brightly colored flowers. I moved to Lake Tahoe in 1973 and continued my studies of art through workshops at Lakeside Gallery. I paint at my home in Incline Village in this California Impressionism style and learn something new with each painting."

“Nothing brings as much joy and peace to my life as creating art. When I am painting it is as if time does not exist. Worries disappear. I am one with the universe and I know that I am loved. I feel free to play with colors and shapes and enjoy the process of putting my interpretations of nature down on paper. Many people have told me that the thing they like most about my work is the softness of it. I think that life has enough hard edges. I don’t need them in my art. If my art can somehow help you experience the peace and joy I feel when I create, then I am truly blessed."

Nick Geankopolis
Ceramics
Nick Geankoplis' experience in ceramics arts has taken him to Europe, Japan, China and Scandinavia to study the diverse historical and contemporary practices of Clay. During a Decade of clay, Nick’s work has become as diverse as his education, making decorative vessels and functional pottery. His work takes on aesthetics and techniques from his varied life experiences. Nick moved to Lake Tahoe to complete his degree in art and is currently a senior and lab technician at Sierra Nevada College in Incline Village.

Jim Markle
Photography
Recognized for his landscapes, environmental portraits, event photography and work with volunteer organizations, Jim's images are inspired as much by his appreciation for art, history, and environmental issues as by the beauty and diversity he sees in nature. What began, as a renewed interest in photography, soon became a passion after winning two international awards in 2004 and 2005. By 2007, one of his images was selected for the PX3 Prix de la Photographie in Paris, and in 2008, he was a nominee for The Black and White Spider Awards in London. Jim’s images have been featured in numerous publications, galleries and other venues.

The Romitis both have extensive art backgrounds in design, color, drawing and painting. They share their time between their studios in Lo de Marcos, Nayarit and Incline Village, Nevada.
